Mexico cancelled the tender for the 30-year roads concession earlier this year after receiving only one bid. The sole bidder, Mexican developer IDEAL, says it is considering another bid under the new procurement.
Google and Citi had already committed $110m to an earlier phase of the Alta Wind Energy Centre, a 1,550-MW wind farm that Terra-Gen Power is developing in California. Terra-Gen is co-owned by ArcLight Capital and Global Infrastructure Partners.
The fund will focus on investments in late-stage solar projects in North America. All of the fund’s investors are publicly listed companies. CleanPath has already made investments worth about $10m.
