KKR Global Infrastructure Investors has closed with $1 billion in committed capital. The fund, launched in 2008, has helped the private equity firm establish a $4bn real asset platform.

The Arizona Department of Transportation landed $21.6m for its project, while California and Texas received a combined $77m. Tellingly, the latest $500m series of TIGER was oversubscribed by more than $10bn.

Conduit Capital will use the funding to further its renewable energy profile in Peru. The private equity firm will build two solar plants in rural Tacna as well as Panamericana.
