Zak Bentley is a senior reporter at Infrastructure Investor based in London. Zak joined Infrastructure Investor in 2016 from Centaur where he was a reporter at their Clean Energy Pipeline title. He has a detailed knowledge and experience of the financial and regulatory aspects of the global renewable energy market, as well as the wider infrastructure market. The deal to buy a majority stake in euNetworks comes as the firm continues to garner commitments for its third fund.
The new vehicle – which could end up raising more than €4bn – will be seeded with MIRA’s UK gas distribution investment.
The deal allows UK investment firm Northill Capital to gain a foothold in infrastructure, ending a sale process that had been running for almost two years.
